Hi all,
Does anyone have any idea as to what could cause my front brakes to rattle. I have just had new pads all round and the front rattle when driving over bumps etc....its driving me nuts....
Apart from that i love the car.

Thanks.
Andy

Hi Andy, is it there over the bumps even without applying breaks?
I don't think this is brakes problem unless rotors are warped or calipers loose.
My guess would be noise from dry lower ball joint, I had it untill I greased them with needle through it's rubber booth. Go under it and have a friend to lean on the front end and rock the car a little. You will find out the source of noise. There is post about front suspention noice while braking.

Bernard

I have an E220 CDI 2005 and My pads rattle terribly when going over rough ground. I have had the full suspension checked and there is no problem. The noise disappears if I press the brake while travelling over uneven ground.
Has anyone experience this or can anyone recommend a solution
