Hi everyone, I'm a new member and this is my first post.

I have a 2007 ML320 CDI without airmatic suspension. The rear shocks have gone bad and I have new ones ordered. I can see the large bolt on the bottom of the shock, but where do you access the nut on the top of the shock? It doesn't look like there is any way to get to it from the outside of the vehicle. I removed the run flat spare from inside and partially pulled apart the side panels in the rear area. I'm just not seeing anything that looks like the top of the shock. What am I missing and how do I access it? Thanks!
