Can you help? My 2000 ML320 navigation system has stopped working. When the CD is inserted, a random map appears that seems to be dependent on how the CD is inserted. The map has no relationship to where I am located geographically. Then nothing more happens. The GPS isn't working.

Ok.. I guess you have a Command 2.0 on yours. Try pressing the mute button together with buttons 1 and 3 for over 5 seconds, you will enter the service menu.

scroll down till you find INFOS and (I don' t remember by heart) you will find one tab concerning the NAV sys.
Try to see if you have listed the number of satellites that your gps antenna sees. It could be that your antenna got disconnected or simply has stopped working, so the nav system does not update your present position, hence not able to navigate.

You can still get directions, by pressing NAV (first button on the left upper part of the command) and scroll down to settings. then choose "Present position" and manually insert the exact address where you are. It works perfect if your car is heading north and if you can indicate a street cross nearby you.
Always allow few sec for the sys to update the information, before moving with the car.

You seems to have good idea about Navigation Systems. I have 2002 ML 500 and dealer did not give me DVD for Navigation Unit. I went to Mercedes Dealership and they are asking fortune for DVD.

Do you have any idea where I can DVD for 2002 ML 500 at reasonable price.
