Hi,
I have a following issue with navigation on my 2003 ML500 - it does not "speak" . I can hear that music volume gets lower when I approach next turn for example but that's it - no voice. Is it something related to DVD version - I use 2002.2 DVD or it's malfunctioning?
Thanks
A.

software.
you may need to flash the navigation system.
the main cause of this could be database mismatch... the reason why the audio and map doesn't fit on the same place. (i don't know how to explain it in simple words).

have you tried hitting the voice button and then turning the volume up? On my 2004 ML500, each time (when i'm running nav) i press the voice or nav button, the lady talks to me, but when i push that button, i can control her volume independantly of the car stereo's volume. This could have been accidently turned down, and you would never hear her again.

I do have the same problem with my ML500 2002
The navigation seems to work , but there s no any 'voice'
The thing is , it used to have that 'voice guidance' , but recently it just went off.
I tried the "push nav voice , turn volume up" trick , but it didn't work.
Any other idea what might went wrong, and how I can fix it?
Thanks in advance
