Default Help requested Finding where Part Number is Sold!

Hello Drivers,

My 1999 ML-320 has some nice looking running boards. A problem with the running board lighting forced the boards to be dismantled at a MB service center. When the time came to put everything back together the person working on my truck didn't know what he was doing.

In the process of putting back the front end caps on the running boards this person destroyed all 6 posts that are inside the caps. Inside each cap are three posts. These posts are needed when placing the end covers back into position and are used to secure the cap in place using 3 screws.

Today, Mercedes-Benz is sorry they don't service what they sell and I'm told that I'm on my own to find new caps. No matter who at Mercedes Benz I call nobody is in a position to help. I attached a pic of what the cap looks like. Inside the cap are the following marks:

R.H.F.
Part No# FH-1476-002
T.P.O.
Patented
Made in Canada
Date: 98 99

Would anyone happen to know where I could get this part? Any info that will lead directly to obtainment of these caps is welcomed.

Thanks.
