RE: Fuel Mileage !!!
ok guys let me let you in on a secret the only way to get your fuel millage is to reset your trip odometer (in your cluster) fill your tank all the way drive it till you need gas again then fill it devide gallons by the number your odometer says. those trip odometers are aways wrong.

RE: Fuel Mileage !!!
Our 98 ML320 gets 20 city with her driving.
With me driving;
to make a point = 22
normal = 18
The one highway trip long enough to give a good reading = 27 mpg
We have verified that the computer matches actual miles driven & gallons used.

Since this is her car & she is so happy with it, I LOVE it!

RE: Fuel Mileage !!!
I usually get between 17 and 18 mpg in my 1998 ML320 with the way i drive, as i tend to drive pretty hard. on long freeway trips i can get 22 mpg at 75+ mph, i think this is because the early ML320s where a few hundred pounds lighter than the newer models. My all time record though was 28mpg drafting semi trucks at 55mph on the I-5, but i don't do that very often as i don't like being slow, and I don't think the truckers appreciate me following that closely. It seems the ML, at least the older ones, are one of the few cars that actually *exceed* the EPA estimates.
