Hi guys~ I have been fortunate enough to be offered $100AU for a near new Alpine Ida-X100 from a friend of mine. However, when both of us checked in the autoservice workshop today, the mech inspected my ML320 2001 model and said that the wiring is can bus. He went on to say that to fit it would require me to purchase an can bus adapter that costs $200AU, + labour fee = $350.
What I am asking is is what he saying all true/ anyway to get around it without spending as much, ebay? lol. Or is there other solution for audio in...really need some music but the **** old cd player doesn't read cds properly that are burnt from computer. I've considered FM trasnmitter but heard its really crap.
Thanks alot

I purchased a cassette tape converter from walmart for 30.00 and it works fine. It lets you play your Ipod, Phone or CD player. Never had any problems with it. I can talk on my phone and play music that I downloaded. I can also plug my portable CD player in and the sound is qreat from the speakers.
