Feedback on my new ML270 CDI
Hello,
Any Mercedes Benz enthusiasts out there hopefully you can educate me, I have just purchased a 2003 ML270 CDI. It has just clocked 100K. although drives perfect. Kick down works lovely and it is as smooth as a whistle (hope it stays this way).
My question is this: I cant find information in my user manual as to whether my ML has a cam belt or chain, i am no mechanic so wanted to make sure i didnt need to make sure the cam belt was changed considering it has covered quite some miles. I had a Jag X-type before this and that had a chain so never really worried about it. Anyone out there that really knows these cars, i would really apreciate some feed back i.e. the cam belt? what to watch out for? anything i should think of getting done now to prevent it going? I have never had a car this big before, and since i lost my company car from work never had anything as old, I am well pleased so far with it but want to make sure i have covered all angles and that everything is in good order on my ML. Many Thanks, Billy
