Engine Light and Shaking ML350 2014
Good day,
I would appreciate your advice!
Few days ago, the engine light came on and when sitting idle in drive gear at traffic light, the car would jerk back and forth. I immediately took it to Mercedes dealer in Saudi Arabia and they found spark plug from cylinder 1 covered in oil. Something leaked and oil from engine got into cylinder. The dealer says it is piston in cylinder of engine misfiring because of presence of oil. Car was driven normally and not overheated. It is winter season in Saudi Arabia now, not hot. As per their estimate, the engine is broken and should be replaced with the original from Germany. I would need your second opinion as I am not confident in their diagnosis. Please provide me with your suggestions.
