Hi folks, I am new to this forum.

I have a ML320 and the driver's side cup holder will not open. The passenger's side works fine, just press the top and it pops down.

Are there any other experiences or suggestions you might to help me out??

Too much sugar and coffee in the hinges, I believe. Push the top in then try to pry it open with slight force of small flat screwdriver. They are opened by spring action on the side of hinge assembly. If the spring is missing, like it was when I bought my ML, cup holder will not open on its own. If it is the spring, you can take it out of the passanger side and use it in driver's cup holder or try to copy it from piano wire, as I did.

Thanks for your help on this. A minor item but it is now fixed without breaking any of the plastic parts. Looks like one of the hinges was binding. I cleaned up the part and it now opens smoothly.
