Default 4 year 40k miles Checkup Question

I just bought a 2011 ML350. Amazing car. However, the 4 year 40k miles checkup is coming up. The Mercedes dealership said it is gonna cost ~$1200.

I was wondering if that's worth it or are there reputable alternative shops around the Maryland/Virginia area that can do it for a million times cheaper?

Thanks guys/gals.

Yea you are probably right. I need to stop being cheap about these important checkups.

The dealership I went to offered a 4 year + 5 year + 6 year checkup for $1500 ($1200+ for just the 4 year).

Has anyone gotten this? Is it worth it?

Don't cut corners on services or parts quality. You'll pay for it in unscheduled repairs and lower resale value. Having your maintenance book consecutively stamped by a genuine Mercedes dealership adds significant value to the car.

A 4 year service is these major points:

Engine Oil/filter
Transmission oil/filter
Fuel filter
Air filters
Replace brake fluid
Cabin filter
Check brakes
Check for leaks and chassis damage
Wiper blades
Tire rotation
