2005 ML350 key transponder is no longer available

2005 ML350 key transponder is no longer available
Mercedes Benz USA just confirmed to me that it still shows the 2005 ML350 key transponder (part number 1637600806) to be "unavailable."
Apparently, MZB has not sold a replacement key transponder for several years, but it is too cowardly to level with customers that it has discontinued sales
of this part. A locksmith cannot replace the transponder. Therefore, unless someone can offer a solution, I will have to tow my nearly pristine SUV to a junk
yard and dump it. Shame on Mercedes Benz USA! Mercedes used to justify the fact that their cars costs more than most others because they last so long.
But if you can't buy parts, cars won't last long. I'm frustrated and angry.
