Default 2001 ML320 High Pitching noise

I just bought ML320, and today I noticed a high pitching noise coming from the driver side rear wheel area. It seems like it's coming from behind the rear wheel. You can hear it while the car is parked and the engine is running. Please help. Thanks.

Is it ok to drive the vehicle for a couple of days before getting the problem fixed?

yes it's okay to drive it.

whenever it stall, you can immediately restart the car, but it must be time to fix the problem.

The noise disappeared even though I did not change the fuel filter.
