whats goin on people, i have a 2000 ml320 production date 12/99 with a inop cruise control, customer just bought the car and said the cruise hasnt worked for the 8 months hes owned it, checked c/c switch, everything working as designed, no codes anywhere, i found an odd porduction date on the ME 39/97 so 39th week of 1997 whick for a 2k i thought it was rather early so im thinking possibly the wrong ME in the car. any thoughts?

 

Have him ask the original owner or stop by at any MB dealership and have them print out his VMI (vehicle master inquiry). It will show the complete history of service that may help you to answer some questions.
