Default 2000 ML 430 - Starting issue

Hello,
I'm having a intermitant starting problem with my ML 430.
When the engine is still warm(i.e. coming out of a store and back into the vehicle), sometimes it will not start. The motor cranks fine, no warning lights, it just will not start,,, not even a hint of a start, just cranking,,,, I usually have to wait about 20 - 40 minutes, then I try it again and the car will start just like nothing was ever wrong,,, no problems driving,,, when the motor starts it's like nothing is wrong,,,,no error codes,,, can't bring it to the dealer without an error code(they'll tell me nothing is wrong),,,,,, Has anybody had a similiar situation,,,,,
Regards,
Darin

Default Installed - Not an Easy Task Though

Just put the CPS in today,,, not as easy as I have read,,, maybe the previous posts were talking about the repair on a 6 cylinder, that probably has more room between the firewall and the rear of the motor,,,but the 8 cylinder makes this Almost an impossible task,,,, not for the screamish or the weekend mechanic,,,,it took me a half day to figure out a plan of attack,,,,,there is simply very, very, very little room to get your hand down onto the sensor,,,, and then if you manage to find the one and only route down you can only just barely touch it with one hand, not grasp it. It came out easy enough, but I believe I cross threaded the securing bolt on the way back in, the bolt is tight though, and has thread locker on it.
I paid $105.00 for the CPS from Mercedes, if I had them do it , it would have come out to probably $425.00,,, a big difference,,, car is running fine now, but will have to wait and see(over the next week or two) if the problem has been fixed. If anyone wants any additional info on the repair or has any comments please post.
Thanks to Chassis221 for the advice.

Regards,
Darin
