2022 GLS 450 AC question
Hello. New MB owner, first time poster.
I have a new '22 GLS 450; love it. I have had it for about six weeks and have had a weird AC issue on three occasions, the most recent being last night.
I parked in the garage after work; I had only driven about 10 miles from work and the outside temp was around 90 degrees. The AC seemed to be working just fine. About 40 minutes after parking the garage, my wife and I get in the car and head out. I had the AC temp set at 73 and both front zones were synced to the same temperature.
No cool air came out; a low level of warm air came out that was warmer than what fresh air would have been. I set the temp down one degree at a time and nothing changed, until I got to the rock bottom temp setting that is just called "Low." Cool air blasted out in all of the zones. If I moved it one degree up, warm air. If I moved it to like 73, warm air blowing out at a pretty good clip.
We get to where we're going, have dinner for an hour or so and we get back in to drive away. Cool air when set to "Low", bump the temp up to 73 and still cool air. So sitting for a while seems to have fixed it.
This has happened three times. Twice when I was pulling out of my garage and once when the car had been sitting outside for several hours in the sun.
Is this a user or system issue? Anyone have similar experiences?

Considering Mercedes-Benz (more often than not) uses higher quality parts than General Mess, I genuinely doubt the issue is the exact same. However I would bet money that it's incredibly similar. My recommendation is to not touch anything and bring it to your dealership as soon as possible - take advantage of the warranty. Take advantage of Mercedes-Benz's dedication to customer service. Moreso than selling cars MB sells customer experience. If you go in and calmly and maturely inform your salesperson and/or service advisor of the issue they should jump out of their seat to make it right. And make sure they understand right from the beginning you're not paying for this; the vehicle is brand new, MB is obligated to make sure the vehicle operates as designed.
Hope it works out for you!
Thank you for the above information. I called my sales rep with the question and he said it was probably just in need of a software update; I also asked if he could suggest someone to detail the car and he could not.
I had the problem happen again yesterday. Drove the car for about 15 miles, parked in my garage for an hour, left and same problem. Outside temp was less than 80 degrees.
I called to set up a service appointment; the first they could get me in is almost a month out. The service rep said they would need the car for 5 to 7 days because they are having so many repairs spill over multiple days. Wow. So I asked for a loaner. I would hope that if this was a more urgent problem I'd have a different service experience from the dealership. I'm not incredibly impressed, but as long as this problem only occurs once ever two weeks or so for a short period of time I think I can live with it.

I also have a '22 GLS 450; love it. I have had it for about six weeks and have had a weird AC issue and I am searching for its solution online. I am glad while searching for this https://www.topessaywriting.org/samples/homelessness website, I found your post as well.
