Xenon lights query
Hi. I have a 2000 E280 Avantgarde with Xenon headlights.
But my sidelights are the usual pale coloured lights, which to me, look odd with the xenons on beside them. If I wanted my side lights and fog lights to match the main beams, how would i go about doing this? Is it as simple as replacing the bulbs?
Or if not, which side light and fog light bulbs would be the closest match?
Thanks,
Baz.

it is almost impossible to match color with your Xenon. halogens just dont burn the same
@ similar temperature. you can try using LEDs but since they operate at such different
current needs, the 'bulb malfunction' warning will activate on your dash. you can then
hunt for resistors to install with the bulbs - these help to fool the warning system into
thinking that all is well (which it is, really). the problem i have with the resistors is that
they get warm/hot and i think it's a ghetto fix....though i dont have a better alternative
to the resistors.

thanks for that mate. I've given up now though.lol.
I doubt you get those tiny bulbs in anything other than halogen. And resistors, etc. are too much hassle to be ohnest. But thanks for the input. You never know, I may change my mind....again

Halogens bulbs are gloomy in compare to xenon and xenon hid kits are very useful. I have been driving my car last night. My car has halogen lights. I was totally amazed to see that the other car following me has quite high beams and that forced me to ask the driver how his headlights have that much high beams he said it was xenon kit he was using and now i am headed straight today for a xenon hid kits installation its awesome and with 9008 intensity discharge it will make morning in night you must go for it man
