Default RE: Will not start

first take air cleaner assembly off so you know you got air going into the engine . then go to any auto parts store buy a $9 ign. spark tester (it looks like a spark plug and has a aligator clip on the bottom ) set it to desired air gap (.40')then place to chassie ground as described on the instructions for use . crank engine over you should see a blue spark and hear snapping noises that tells you if you got good spark. IF its jumping that gap the plug in the head is doing the same thing and you known you got spark(if not youll have to check whats comming out the coil if that has enough KV's (just like a chevy pull the coil wire out the center dis. cap hold near a ground (engine block , or metal bracket with no electrical componets bolted to it )USE INSULATED PLIES TO DO THIS OR YOU'LL GET ZAPPED!!! hold about 1/2 away have some one crank engine you should see a spark ,hear snapping sound if so replace cap and rotor put a wire set on (if no spark have problem with primary wiring to ign. coil check for shorts or opens. if got spark all that is left is FUEL you probably have cis-e injection sys and a alumn. intake manifold which means that air flow meter is probably out of adjustment (lamda) or fuel pumps not supply enough fuel pressure to its duel chamber lets believe it has fuel pressure see the co tower located center air flow meter(looks like round stick with a bb in the top , if the bb is gone your it you can adjust it!! if not cover air flow meter with bunch rags and cut the top 1/4 ' or so with saw to remove the bb
now with some one cranking engine try getting car started a squirt of brake clean down intake while cranking wouldn't hurt try to get it running if not running does it smell like gas???? no, you might not have enough fuel pressure to intake to start the car will runn alittle on brake clean too much though will smother the engine and stall if the car is running the fuel pumps are ok for now!! youll might only need a co adjustment (TAKE TO A SHOP ) if the car is not idling use the allen tool in co tower when engine is warmed up turn to a fast idle remember a little turn goes a long way also you have to push the allen bolt all the way down when turning to where it doesnot feel springy
