I am looking at some off set wheels for my 03 e320. I have looked at some 18's and 19's. Installer thinks I should go with 19's and 35 series tires. However, I am concerned of the fit and ride. Anyone have feedback on that vs. 18's with 40 series?

 

Stay away from 19's they will trash the ride.Are you going to lower the car?Go to the w211 forum on mbworld.org and look up posts on tire and wheel combos.Also the tirerack a sponsor on the site will give you wheel fitment ideas for what works.

Thanks, I was worried about the ride.

 

I was looking at some off sets in 18" with 35 series. The installer thinks I can sqeeze a 40 series on it without rolling the fenders. I am not lowering the car. Hopefully all goes well, I do not want to sacrifice the ride.

 

you need to match those rims and tires to the old diameter of the stock setup.
What are you running now on all 4?are you looking to go staggered like the amg?

Yeah, like the AMG. Currently have stock 17" with 45 series. Thinking 18" with 40's, and considering 19" with 35 series, but have got a lot of negative feedback on the ride.
