Very Alarming Problem!
I am a new member in the UK, I have a 1999 E240 Estate. Within 10 minutes of locking the car using the key fob the alarm sounds, indicators flash etc, if left alone it also sounds every night at around 3:30 / 3:45 am, this is driving me mad, not to mention the irritation and annoyance caused to my neighbours
I can and do stop it happening by disabling the alarm using the button on the dash but this leaves the car vulnerable to theft especially at night.
At first I thought it could be triggered by some form of telecoms frequency because of the regular and consistent 3:30 to 3:45 am triggering , but now it goes off within minutes of locking the car in many different locations I have given up on that idea.
Anyone else had this problem? Can anyone suggest a solution / fix?

only 3 things can cause it.
*the interior motion sensor is faulty (if you got one).
*the tilt angle sensor is faulty.
*the additional battery for the alarm is faulty.
go and check for the fault code.
