I have a 1989 300E with 70K miles. It is worth investing the time and money in to it.
Did Mercedes ever build these cars with a turbo right out of the factory?
If they in fact did then I imagine that finding a used one would make better since than buying a after market. Correct?
And money wise why do turbos cost so much damn money?

Long story short is this Benz is my hobby. But, I really want a turbo on this Benz. Really. But, $7K is not worth it ever.

What suggestions do you have? What do you think about the bolt on electric turbos?
