ORIGINAL: qghauri

Can i have a picture of my 1995 E320, automatic, showing the change of coolant as mentioned in the above tread. I want to change the coolant of my car myself.

So I'll refill the coolant, leave the reservoir cap off, start the engine, and turn the heater on full? Then do I just let the engine idle for about 10 minutes? Then shut the engine off, top of the coolant and recap the reservoir?

Regards

yes the same procedure.

Thanks for your reply.

Can you describe to me where the two bolts are more specifically?

Thank you, I'm going to go in the garage and see if I can find it. I left the car on the stands.
I'm going to change the oil and the fuel filter while I got it up in the air.

Sleepwalker,
I printed the picture and went under the car with a light.

On the driver side all I see are bolts that look like the tip of a torx screwdriver.

On the passenger side 2 inches below the exhaust manifold, I see a torx bolt that looks like a plug.

it's not torx.

it looks more like an oversized brake bleeder plug. got hole on the middle. a nut with a nipple.

Is the crankcase bolt #71 near #5 on the crankcase by the bolts with the torx tip?

Sleepwalker,
I finished the maintenance and I was test driving the car.

When cruising temp is 80C. When idling and heat off temp is reaching about 95C. Is the idle temp ok?
