Default Replacing Self Leveling Shocks

Do I need to bleed the hydraulic system after replacing the shocks on my 2002 E320 4Matic wagon. If so, how do I bleed the system? I filled the shocks before installing them.

Default RE: Replacing Self Leveling Shocks

I think the system self bleeds, load the rear end and let it compensate, it is a continuous flow system. The valve only directs the fluid form the accumulators tothe return line. I am surprised that you neded new struts, unless they leaked, I have 90K on my 92 S and have never replaced them. The accumulators were replades at 85, and the shocks in the front are just normal shocks.
