Is it possible to make the rear fog lights work on a 300E with the light bracket there, or is it different like the front headlights for Europe?

 

pull the light switch until the orange light glows = rear fog lights on.

 

Sorry on a 1990 300E. There is a place for the bulb in the bracket, but if one were to put one there nothing happens. I do not believe it is wired so how would one go about doing so? Or wold it be easier to aquire a new bracket? Thank you for your help.

 

Wasn't one rear foglight standard on w124's? So I'm assuming you already turned the headlight **** to the right and pulled twice? No orange glow? Are you putting the bulb in the right socket?

 

The front ones turn on and the orange light goes on but nothing from the rear. There were never bulbs in the sockets in the rear and we have had it since new. Im assuming from other german cars that the one on the drivers side would be the one to illuminate but I did try both and nothing. I took it apart a little bit and the fog light socket is not wired so I have to think that I will need a new bracket does anyone know where to get one and if it would have to be wired all the way from the front and if so would it be worth the effort?
