Does Mercedes E class (E420) ever have to change power steering oil? if so, how often....is it expensive? Thanks for reading the message.

It is recommended (by E-Class Owners Bible) that Power Steering Oil is changed every 2 years/15,000 mls. This is very easy.
Suck out the old oil with suitable sucker from reservoir and replace with new M-B fluid (M-B Q 46 0001 or Mobil ATF d). Do not over fill.
The filter (at the bottom of the reservoir) should be replaced every 60,000 miles.
