Just bought the 2010 E350 for my husband. I wondering if I need to purchase the pre-paid maintenance the MB offers. The price is now reduced to $1,940 for four years or 40,000 miles whichever comes first.
Does anybody know how much maintenance cost for an E350, 2010 for the first 40,000 miles.

 

unless you're expectig poblems, or the car has a track record of problems, prepaid
maintenance protection is a gamble. they are there to make money. on your end, it serves
as peace-of-mind....but the details insofar as how much protection you really get is
itemized in the 'exclusions'. what you need to do is get the actual contract and read
the itemized details and coverage allowed in the contract.

some owners have more time and have skill set necessary to perform many of the
fixes themselves, should the need materialize. if so, it may be more cost effective to
set aside $2k and use only for car related issues. after 4 yrs, if you still have a positive
balance, you get that money back. however, under PPM, you forfeit the balance.
