Hi,
I am new to the Mercedes Forum, I am traditionally a Honda/Acura lover and my latest car was a candy painted Acura CL 3.0, but I recently was involved in an accident and will most likely not be rebuilding. In my quest to find a new car I have been looking at the E 320, and it seems like a really nice car. If i do purchase one it will probably have 96-98 E 320 with 80-100k on it because from looking on-line thats about the price range I happen to be in.
Just a few questions:
How are these cars typically when they reach that mileage range?
Any common problems?
Is this typically a high maintence car?
What are the biggest wheels that can fit on this car with a slight drop and without major rubbing?
Thanks ahead of time...

Did you hear back from anyone or do offline research that helped you make a decision? I am in the same situation. Have the chance to buy a 95 e320 wagon for about 5K but the mileage is high at 170K. It drives real nice though. I am a biodiesel person with two small volkswagons that are not big enough for my dog. I'm thinking I can pick this car up for a few years until the audi diesels start appearing in 2009. I really want a diesel station wagon in the future yet not a 84 mercedes wagon. Even an new audi wagon would be 20K less than a mercedes.
