I have a E420 and recently my gas light started flashing and then my engine electronics ligh came on. I called the dealer and explained the problems and they stated to change the gas cap. I followed those directions and it went away. Long and behold it came right back so I went to my MB specialists and did a scan and i received an error code P0455 something to do with the emissions. He reset the code and it came back after a couple of weeks so can someone tell me if they had this problem beforeand what didyou do tofix it.

Sure your gas cap is OK and seats properly?

If not a tube has likely come off somewhere between the tank and the charcoal cannister usually located near the tank or in the engine compartment.

So its a pressure sensor located in the tank that is signalling the problem.

Probably the purge valve in the engine compt.,after that test,onto deeper measures.
