Oil Pressure Sending Unit

Hi all
I have a 94 E 420 and the oil pressure sending unit is going bad. My mechanic told me to try to clean it before replacing it. Does anyone know where it is located or have a diagram for me to use. thanks

I have this same issue and would like to try cleaning first. Mine works in cold weather but seems to fail as it warms up.
