Hello. I have a '94 E420. Whenever I have my car in PARK, the Oil Pressure Gauge shoots up to the top of the gauge (3) and the engine sounds like louder (it doesn't Roar but it's still a little loud). I can put my car in reverse or drive and the gauge will drop down to 2 or 2 1/2 until I accelerate or press on the gas. Is this normal or is it time for a diagnosis? If so, do you believe it is a very considerable problem? Please leave your suggestions, thanks.

Hi,
1) When you are idling how may RPM do you see on your tach? You can adjust your idle speed with an Allen winch. There is a whole in the top of your air filter that is used to adjust the idle.
2 ) What kind of oil are you running? Those quick lube people will put in what ever they have on hand. I know this from experience. My 560 SL wound up with 10/30 in it from one of those places.
