Default Nosiy SBC on E240 (2003)

My E240, which has done 80k km has an overly noisy SBC. This is especially at start uptime--when it emits a long groaning noise, and also during travel at times.
is this normal ? is this acceptable.? what is MB's view on this ?any chance of MB replacing it ? etc Thanks

SBC dropped by mercedes in 05,look for any one of several recalls pertaining to the fly by wire brake system.Go to the dealer and complain like crazy,if it is the sbc and it is making noises, they should fix it,it could be unsafe and cause you injury, pour it on at the local dealer and take it to management.Be nice but be firm in your stance,if benz decided the system had to many problems, they will fix yours.

that ll probly fit a valve on top of the SBC to stop the groaing noise the wire has nothin wat so ever to do with the groanig noise, wire was a recall for other purpose, groaning is normall on this SBC,if its very noise they only fit you the valve which will make a slight difrence, yes it reaches its thershold than it has to be replaced........

they will probably just put a dampner on it. this will eleveate much of the noise, providing your sbc pump has not gone bad.
