Default Newbie with first question, E500 cup holder.

Just got a 2004 E500 and everything is perfect with only 77K miles except the cup holder is broken and wont extend out.

I tried pushing the button and pulling up at the same time but there must be a trick to it?

Well after 5 weeks and no help here I was able to remove holder and found the original spring was missing. Went and bought cheapy spring and works fine now. Researching this elsewhere showed its a common problem. Surprised no one here knows about.

Default W211 cup holder

I have the same problem, so can you please tell me how you finally got it out so that you could replace the spring?

Thanks for your help!

Hello and welcome to the forum Bob! Take a look at the link below to an earlier thread where the repair procedure is discussed.
