First off let me say i love this site and this is my first post. Here's a image of my E500 i bought a few months ago. Its an E500 2003 with 20" wheels.



Couple Question / issues on the vehicle I was hoping to get answers to.

1. Rough Idle - When in park the car will sort of sway left-right and when its really bad theres a distinct sharp hiccup like a misfire. I've replaced all spark plugs, wires, engine mounts and the tech has not seen any error codes. Any ideas?

2. When the car is cold there is a rather loud low/mid frequency screeching noise from the engine. After a minute or so the noise gets significantly lower but still audible. Any ideas?

3. The vehicle didn't come with a manual so i'm a bit unsure of how the airmatic suspension works but i've noticed that it will raise and lower on its own during certain road conditions. Can you guys tell me what types of things will trigger adjustment of height, aside from me pressing the buttons of course.

4. I have a sirius antenna on the trunk hood but the stereo does not have an option to access it. I know i would need to register the unit but i can't even bring up the interface to get the ID for registration. Any Ideas?
