so, my '80 300TD starts fine, but will not shut off! i turn the key off, disconnect the battery, and the sucker just keeps running. i've figured out how to kill it, by going under the hood and pushing the throttle thingy, but need to fix it. any ideas what's going on and how to solve it?

just check the vacuum line or the electrical line going to the shutoff actuator behind the injection pump.

 

that did it!!!!!!!!!!!!! (it also activated the vacuum to work the a/c and power locks!!)
