Does anyone know how to open the driver side mirror housing on a 95 e320?

I have a 98 and am not sure if they are the same but on mine (which i fell into and broke when out next to it shoveling snow) the whole assembly comes off with 3 bolts from the inside of the door. You just pull on the glass and it comes off, but pull evenly! it took me a while to figure this out but there is a spring type piece of metal which goes all the way across the back off the mirror frame and catches behind 2 bumps on the inside of the housing, hard to explain but when you get it off you just replace the spring across the frame and slide the housing back on and it "clicks" in and on. to remove it though you need a flat screwdriver and there is a hole or channel which is made for this (mercedes probably has a specific tool for this, but I don't have one) and if you shine a flashlight behind the frame and into this channel you will see some of the metal spring thing, pry it up and off and it should slide right off. Good luck!
