Default Mercedes E320 97K for $5500?

Is this a total rip off? I contacted dealership and seen car, everything seems fine and carfax report is clean with 2 owners. I just want to get a mercedes that I can afford but will I pay too much for parts? I have my own mechanic that does side work for me so his labor is very cheap.

Thanks

I would have it lookedat by him personally before purchase. It looks very nice but, have your mechanic inspect it first.

Also that 2001 E430 looks good also. 68,000 miles for $10,900. Do you have a trade in?

I have a 99 Ford Contour I found a private buyer who will take it for $2,000 I could use that towards the purchase. Wonder if I could get a loan for this small amount or should I just pay out the rest.

Those cars, 1996 - 1997 E320s, have inline 6 cyl engines ... lot´s of problems with head gaskets ... lot of $$$$ to fix. Try to find a 1998 - 2002 E320, those are rock solid machines.
