Does any one know if the AMG Style III 5 Spoke Wheels that are sold on Tirerack.com are authentic Mercedes wheels. My dealer sold them to me as if they were from MB as an option when I bought my 2003 E500. Later I noticed some literature from tirerack in the glove box. A few months later both of the front rims became bent and the steering wheel shakes non stop. I can not believe authentic mercedes wheels would have done this.

If they came from Tire Rack, my guess is that they are not authentic MB wheels. Why would MB authorize a reseller for their products when everything else is available only through their dealers... I am surprised that a MB dealer would install after market wheels though, and not stand by them if they had defective materials or workmanship. So the big question is, how did your wheels become bent?I don't think any manufacturer would guarantee the wheel to survive abuse, or evenaccidental damage caused by potholes orthe like.
