I have a '03 E320 and am having trouble getting the remote buttons on the mirror to operate my garage doors and the front gate to my development. I try the directions given in the manual, but I get no original light or confirmation light when I try the programming.

Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure that you follow the right directions. There are 2 ways of doing this (at least for W210). One is a stanard way for older garage doors, and the other is for "rolling codes" on newer garage door openers. Double-check your directions and check which opener you have.
