i'm about to install rear view camera into my 99 E320 (USA) right now. i've gathered the parts
together but have not started.
i'm replacing the factory AM/FM/CD radio for an aftermarket unit. i will no longer use the CD
changer in the boot as the aftermarket unit will accept MP3 off a memory stick or my Apple
iPhone.
the aftermarket unit is a single DIN DVD design and I will install a rear camera i bought off Ebay
(chinese manufactured).
this complete installation will cost me about $500 because I selected a higher price radio/DVD
player. the labor will be done my myself.
I have a Bose sound system from the factory and will continue to use the existing speakers
together but have not started.

i am not exactly sure what you are asking. but I am guessing you think I have the Mercedes
Command sound system. I do not. I had the economy model Audio 30 which is being replaced
with the aftermarket, Pioneer flip up DVD head unit. it has the usual inputs including one for
video which is what I am using to connect to the rear view camera
