Default Ignition Key won't Turn!

We have a 1993 400e, We left it for a couple of months and when we come home the key will not turn in the ignition. We have 2 masters, 2 flats and a valet - none will turn. The steering wheel was not locked when I tried first, it is now and I have tried wiggling (wrenching) on it. WD40 in the keyhole, a little (lot actually) silicone lubricant - still can't turn the key more that 2 degrees.

Any ideas?

What's the remedy? Guy from the street corner downtown? Large screwdriver and a hammer??

Dip your unused key in brake fluid, insert and pull out few times, you have to play with it.
These locks are case hardened and very good design. The only thing that will drill it uot is a carbide. I have done it on my 280SE, it was not an easy task!

Default key won't turn

I had similar problem and was in the middle of no where wiggled the steering wheel and than it locked!!!

Grab the wheel with the key in ingnition. Pull it as far to left as you can hard while key is in

than back turn key as you pull than again it may take three four times worked for me,
swing it hard .

If you have not done so already it is time to get a new ignition barrel and key. Next time the key won't turn could mean a very expensive job at the locksmith!
