I have come across a 98 300e diesel with 150,000 miles.
Claims to be family owned and maintained.
Rust protection package done 1 year ago.
new stereo with USB and new tires
comes with 3 laser keys???

issues acknowledged:
Front right spring needs to be remounted
Body contains rust and dents

no pics.... I intend to by something reliable that I can enjoy driving instead of fixing one thing or the other. I have heard good things about economy and performance of 1998-1999 300TD's.

What should be the deciding factors to buy or not to buy this particular car?

I im thinking: (1)full maintenance records and (2)newer glow plugs (3) not-overly rusted.

what is worrying me is why the Front right spring needs to be remounted.

Had a 99 and the exact problem with the perches. A friend of mine cut the wheel well and welded a patch, then reinstalled both perches. I paid him $150 for about 2 hours labor and bought the perches from the dealer.
