In Dec I drove from central VA to KY, then to Chicago, then back to KY, then back to central VA. Averaged 30+ MPG HWY. 26 MPG in mixed driving. NO ISSUES AT ALL! My wife drove to South Florida from Central VA yesterday and today. No issues.... but she did get a ticket!

Oh... my 1998 E320 has over 195,000 miles on the odometer. These vehicles (Properly maintained) can go the distance.

So.... what's your story??!?!?!?!?!

 

99 e320 wagon with 154K, just took it from San jose ca. to Bremerton Washington to Sandiego Ca. to San Jose.
Speeds of 75-90 and 26MPG, I love this thing.

 

I drive my 97 E320 monthly, on distances over 300 miles, between 70-80 mph. On some empty parts of the highway, I open her up for quick sprints. No problems, but the car is maintained.

 

The wife just made a run from central VA to Florida and back. Not one single issue. It's about to run over 196,000 miles any day now. Man does this car need a wash.... and why does my wife insist on nibbling in the driver's seat? Drives me nuts!!!

 

Have 1999 E430, 143k mi, drove from NC to PA several times, NC to FL. Great gas mileage. Took less than a tank of gas between Charlotte NC to Pitsburgh PA!!! 535 mi one way.
