Fuse Box Trouble
Recently my instrument lights went out. Checked the fuse box and behold, fuse #3 was out. Put another one in, which burned instantly. Evidently a firm ground somewhere. Just a case of following the wires...
Fast forward 2 weeks. Picture nearly disassembled Merc.
Still trying to find the ground I noticed that measuring the resistance from the top fuse holder of fuse #3 showed varying results. Sometimes several Ohms, sometimes zero (short). It turns out that if I wiggle the top holder I can make it ground! I don't know why or how, but it grounds.
Now for my question. I am hesitant to start disassembling the fusebox. Haynes does not cover this section and I dont want to bust the box through my own stupidity. Short of buying another manual, does anyone know how to take the fusebox apart?
Thanks,
Bart
