Within a few days after replacing a coil, my 1997 E320 displayed the error code po410. The car seems to be running fine so it's difficult to pinpoint the the exact cause of the code. When I turn the key to the on position I can hear a fan running, which seems to be associated with the air injection system. It seems to me that this is not normal. Could it be that the code is related to the air injection system? How do I trouble shoot this? Is this a job I should try tackling myself?

yes, code po410 belongs to the air injection!

Please try to find out which fan exactly starts running???

Actually thereĀ“s no correlation to the replacment of the ignition coil, but...
Did You check the pressure converter at the front of the cylinder head cover under the black cover?
Maybe You did something unintended with the plug/hose?
Further You can check the valve near to the generator with the vacuum hose ...
