my 94 e320 has a slight rough idle when im in any other gear besides nuetral and park. U can feel the vibrations on the steering wheel and the doors, it is not as rough when im in park or nuetral. The spark plugs are new. i read somwhere it might be engine mounts, but im not sure..any help would be appreciated..thanks

that depends on how "rough" it runs.

it can be from engine mounting, ignition timing, fuel injectors, etc.

the system is quite difficult to analyze without the aid of an experienced mechanic.

 

I experienced the same problem but the technician told me it was the Actuator. Before then I had changed the Fuel pressure regulator Valve , flushed the fuel lines, serviced the injectors, changed the cable harness and the Control Unit. My car now works fine but the ASR light still refuse to Go.

 

Im experiencing this same exact problem on my 1996 e320. What does the actuator do?

Also I ran the engine for a few minutes then removed all spark plugs and inspected them.
One of them was wet with gasoline and the others were not. What does this mean? Bad coil pack?
