Default Engine Mount and Air Temp Sensor

How can i check if my engine mounts are bad on my 1994 E320 Sedan, and how hard is it to replace them. My car does vibrate in idle but more in drive, especcially with the windows rolled up. and also would rough idle be connected to the Air temp sensor on the air manifold. and how many sensors should i check for rough idle. ANd one last question, where is the fuel filter located for that car...thanks and i appreciate any help.

ok, you got 104 engine.

the engine mounts are oil filled. if you see any signs of oil coming out from its side.

another way is you open the engine hood and look at the engine. the position should be horizontal and not slanting (you are in front of the car). if one engine mount is damage, you can easily tell.

have a visual check. if the engine support bracket touches the engine mount metal part... then it's fauly.

does the window affect the vibration? rough idle is mostly caused by air leak from vacuum area. listen to any hissing noise... or spray a carb cleaner around suspected area to see if it affects the engine speed.

the fuel filter should be beside the fuel pump. where is the fuel pump? it is on the rear right part of the car. which part? underneath the car. there is a plastic box cover on it sometimes, but can easily be seen.

the windows do affect the vibration, if they are rolled up the vibration can be felt significantly, rolled down, the vibration is not as much, and also when i shift from drive to nuetral, vibration reduces and engine idle speed is slightly highet, iw ill look at the mounts today, thanks for ur help.
