Default electrical problems

ok so when my dad and i tried to start my car, it wouldn't start. then we tried jumping it and it started. my dad drove it around and then came back. when he turned it off, and we tried to start it back up, it wouldn't start again. we tried to jump it again and it wouldn't work. then some fuses went out. when we tried to replace the fuses, one would always blow out. what could be the problem to that? does anyone have the fuse list because my car doesnt have it. a mechanic told me that that certain fuse wouldn't keep the car from starting. so what could be the problem? I have a 1994 E320 by the way.

Default RE: electrical problems

Looks like you need a new battery as a starting point.

Since the car wouldn't restart you also need to get the alternator output checked. This maybe the reason for the battery being dead in the first place.

If fuses blew whilst you were jump starting the car looks like you might have had the polarity of the leads incorrect. This can cause all sorts of problems.

Stuart.
