Default E320 Car Wash

I just bought a Silver E320 '03 Wagon. Low milage, good condition. So far I am very satisfied.

Now the coming question is how to keep its good shape. I saw some old model mercedes on the road are _very_ very shinny. But some are not that good and I could tell immediately the age of the car by its looking. What makes them so different?

I think one of the factor would be the way to wash the car. How do you guys work on your car to keep the car shinny? Do you wash the car yourself, in car wash station or in the automatic car wash available in some gas station?

Also, how often do you guys wax the car? Is there anything to concern about before bring the car for waxing?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

There's NO magic formula here ....

either you spend some $$$ and get the car detailed every week OR spend some time and elbow grease...

I have a Black 89 300E that is extreamly clean I even do the engine and few believe its age. I certainly agree with Leon S. that time or money are the only two options I find both come into play. I like to wash myself as the car wash does a terrible job and is bad for the paint. If you are crazy as I am go to Griots garage (I am posative they would be happy to send you a catalog)they have the best products you can find andwill also inform you how to clean properly. If you clean the surface properly and get the right products then you should only have to wax at most twice a year.

Meguiar's (sp?) wax does a great job, something I recommend buying.
