Doesanybody know where the ECU is located on a 97 E320?

Under the hood, on the left top side of the engine compartment (passanger side), you will see a black plastic box, unscrew the cover (4 screws). Inside you will find 5 modules,the ECU(silver in color), will be the second counting from top. Part No. A 023 545 24 32 .

Does anyone know if its possible to install a v6 out of 99 E320 into a 97 E320 that had a straight 6?
