Default E300 Stalling and Kangarooing

I have a 1991 E300 24v Sportline that is doing some rather annoying things. Firstly, after running from cold for a few minutes the revs can start to drop below 500 rpm and then eventually stalling unless I keep the revs up. This I might add is an intermittent fault. If it stalls, if I turn the ignition off and back on it generally starts straight away. The other issue is that she has been occasionally kangarooing when I slowly accelerate away from standstill, if I accelerate away quickly I don't seem to get the same issue.

I desperately need to get new plug leads as the current ones are in a poor state, I also think I need to do a gearbox oil and filter change. Could either of these two things display the symptoms described or can anyone suggest anything else.

Please Help

Many thanks

Alex
